Awesome time! The place is so large, it would be smart to plan out what exactly you’d want to do. I highly recommend bringing walking shoes as well as water shoes. There is so much to see and do, you’ll be doing some walking.

An absolutely amazing day, lots of activities to do so be sure to plan your day well to take advantage of everything. Reflecting on it, I’d recommend doing a two day trip here if you plan to do everything! Enjoy it, we certainly did!

XCARET! Was so amazing!! Our bus picked us up from my hotel and they drove us to the park. The tour guide was excellent. He talked to us about the park and how the color lines work. He suggested we start at the black line and do the Rio. I highly suggest that as well! Also, you can book activities but they do cost extra. I believe they are worth it. We booked the speed boat, kids swimming with sting rays and the walking under water with string rays. Super fun activities. Also, please stay for the show, it’s beautiful. Show is from 7-9. Arrive from 5:30-6 at the theater so you can get a seat. After the show it was easy to get back to our bus. Get the transportation, it’s so worth it!

Pick ups are available at selected hotels within the hotel zone. If you get picked up at the meeting point for XCARET base you will be dropped off there at your return. Basic ticket includes entry to the night show. If you want to enjoy extra water activities you need to pay for them. Good for all ages. Take an extra set of clothes and shampoo or soap to rinse off afterwards. Recommend to wear water shoes. Transportation bus did not have restrooms. Prepare for a 1.5 hr ride.

It was a great trip at a discounted price compared to the website, since the website increases the price as the times gets closer. The Xcaret park is huge, and the evening show is amazing; both are 100% recommended. We started by walking all the park (as much as we could), had lunch around 1pm, and we did the water activities in the afternoon. This worked great for us in regards of timing and amount of people at each activity. We didn’t buy extra stuff to do and still felt like we missed some of the park. We’ll come back for sure.

We really enjoyed the swim through the river, the flamingos, the spectacular show at night and the food. The transport to and from the hotel was seamless. Everything was well orchestrated.
We ended up spending $420 for two people, for the entry and photo pass. We felt it was expensive and could have done multiple other activities for that price.
Wish they didn’t charge a bomb for photo passes ($70) and waterproof mobile cases ($35).
Snorkeling was average, wouldn’t recommend spending time here if you already have ocean snorkeling planned for your trip.

Enjoyed the whole trip! Everything went as planned and pick and drop off was easy. Highly recommend Xcaret in your trip to Cancun! I also recommend getting the plus package because it’s just more convenient and the buffet is really good. I got a massage under a cave/waterfall at the park and it was really relaxing during a busy day! Would recommend that for couples while you’re here!

The park itself is great, everyone is very friendly and they were able to guide us through the process of getting used to the park and the activities. Personally, I did not enjoy the show, two main reasons, it starts at 7 pm which I think is a bit late when you have been walking around the park for a whole day, and doing different activities. Additionally, I think the show should be connected through a story. It feels more like you are part of a parade and the only difference is that you are just sitting down, instead of being standing up on the street. Another negative is that the admission ticket does not really include any of the fun activities and then you have to pay for everything if you really want to have fun.
