Taka was an amazing guide. He met us at our hotel and made sure we were able to see all of the sights and finish on time. He even hailed us a taxi back to our hotel at the end. Truly a special day in Kyoto.
Make sure to wear comfy shoes since you’ll be getting your steps in. The tour is a full day with about an hour or so for lunch.

That was a great experience. Our guide, K.K was very friendly and knowledgeable. We found and saw so many things about Kyoto and Japan ( was so much more informative compared to go on hip of bus that we had a day before)

Our trip was nothing short of amazing, thanks to Kumi, our fantastic guide! Despite the scorching heat, she made the day unforgettable for my 6 and 11-year-olds. Kumi’s knowledge, kindness, and adaptability turned the tour into a fun-filled adventure. It wasn’t just sightseeing; it was laughter, learning, and joy under the blazing sun.
And here’s the cherry on top—she even went to the hotel to bring back an item we forgot. She’s truly great! Kumi, you made our day truly special!

Naomi our tour guide contacted us before the tour and gave us clear and easy instructions to arrange a meeting point.
She was very knowledgeable about the area and of Japanese culture and history giving us lots of information.
We don’t think we could have self guided the sights more effectively ourselves and it was nice to have someone arrange the itinerary and transport to allow us to focus on enjoying the sights.

My hubby and I had an amazing time with our guide, Naoko-san, on this tour. She was very active to send messages on the tour information upon confirmation, and kept in close contact right up to the day of tour.
This tour is recommended if you wish to see all major Kyoto sights in a day. Naoko also provided a lot of details on the history of sights and made the tour very interactive. I will highly recommend friends to join this tour if they visit Kyoto!
    Thank you Naoko-san!

The various Shrines were amazing to see.
The tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. I loved the golden pavilion

We enjoyed our top 10 things to see in Kyoto. I must say it was more walking than I thought- 21,000 steps! We could have had the cab drop us off closer to one of the temples but it was too crowded and the cab could not get closer. Our guide was very nice but to be honest did not understand English very well. We would ask questions and he did not understand our questions.

This tour with Kaouri-San was absolutely amazing! She was very well prepared and shared information also with pamphlets she carried with her that enhanced and deepened the tour. Kyoto is a beautiful city and Kauori-San also shared that beauty in our hearts.
She was very thoughtful and kind and had small towels we could use to wipe our hands, sanitizing spray, and candy.
When I travel I consistently book tours to understand the area better. This tour was the BEST tour I have ever been on. Okini Kauori-San❣️

TOUR: This is the tour to see 10 of the main things to see in Kyoto and be led by a guide. It knocked out some sites that were scattered around the city, and having a guide to show us the subway systems and help us get a lay of the land was super helpful. GUIDE: Taka was so much fun. He has a great attitude and is super knowledgeable. His English is wonderful. As we were walking to some sites, he knew the backroads to get past the crowds. Also, when I was shopping he would tell me the most authentic places to buy things. For example, I wanted chopsticks which you can find anywhere but he suggested I wait until we were at a certain location which was known for their chopsticks. ADVICE: There is A LOT of walking so wear your most comfortable shoes and pack some water. Hard to find places to buy water. There is some elevation gain at temples, and depending on the time of year, some muddy areas. This tour was 100% worth it. We didn’t have to think of anything but it is long. a full 9-5. Highly recommend taking this the day after your arrive to help you get acclimated.

This was a epic adventure. Our guide was wonderful. Quick, helpful, funny, great English speaker and understanding about our shopping needs. This is a must do. Be prepared to walk a alot and have money and subway card. Worth every penny

We love this trip, lit to see, lot to learn and lit to enjoy. We only have three days in Kyoto, before this trip we took half day to visited Tenryuji Temple and Togetsukyo Bridge, which all included in our trip. We asked our guide Yoko to see if could go to some other place, she brought us to Jojakko-Ji, which is one of the best fall colors view point, we enjoyed very much.

Our guide Mutsumi was outstanding. She guided us to all the destinations and provided an interesting history of the various sites. She knew the best places to take photos, and she explained the many traditions of the Japanese people. She herself celebrates many of them and showed us photos of her family at the 3-, 5-, and 7-year old celebration for her own grandchildren.

Midori made this tour incredible! She knows her way around and navigates the crowds impeccably. She’s knowledgeable, kind, and SO prepared with all sorts of learning materials and necessities.

We chose this tour because we wanted to see as much as possible with our limited time in Kyoto. Kaori was our guide for the day. The only way to describe her as a guide is” outstanding- beyond words”
Kaori and I dialogued over email to establish an itinerary. This was challenging as I have mobility issues and use a mobility scooter. Kaori was most thoughtful and understanding of our dilemma to see as much as possible of the significant sites while attending to the challenges of the terrain at each location we were to visit.
Kaori came totally prepared. She had hired a wonderful driver, with a luxury van. He too was most obliging. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history and cultural significance of the places we visited. These were the aspects we were most interested in learning about as we toured Japan. She had an educational binder with pictures, diagrams and identifiers to help illustrate the elements, history and cultural significance of the places we were visiting. It added more depth to the explanations she provided.
In spite of my slower pace, we completed everything on her itinerary.
We were enthralled with Kaori’s gentle manner and her knowledge and empathy towards us. She was a delight in every way. She definitely made this day one of the very best on our trip through Japan. We consider ourselves tremendously lucky to have had Kaori as our tour guide in Kyoto. She was, indeed, outstanding in every way. We only wished we could have had more time with her as our guide in Japan. As you can tell, I would recommend Kaori as your guide above anyone else. If you get her, consider yourself lucky beyond words!

We did this tour with Motoko and she was absolutely terrific. She communicated to us beforehand and adjusted the itinerary to accommodate our travel plans and did a route that made sense from our hotel. We were able to see everything we wanted to see and we definitely will come back! One thing though–be prepared for a long day and a lot of transiting and walking between locations. It is well worth it if you want to see the best of what Kyoto has to offer in a day.

Taka was our tour guide. He was so knowledgeable and patient with us throughout the day. He was also so funny! We loved all the jokes he made and he really made it such a memorable tour. Every location we stopped at, he offered to take a group pic of us. There is no way we would’ve seen all of these historical sites without Taka’s guidance. Highly recommend booking! Thank you again Taka for showing us around Kyoto!

We had an excellent one day tour with FUJI! She met us at the train and we packed in a lot in just 8 hrs. Fuji was friendly, very knowledgeable, and spoke excellent English. She knew all the history about all the local gems and highlights. Took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch and even helped with some souvenir shopping! I highly recommend this tour !

Our guide Fumiko was an exceptional guide.
She was very informative and her knowledge of Japanese history and culture made our tour enjoyable even though it was a full day.
She answered all our questions and provided insight to all the places we visited.
She was professional, prompt and on time.
Fumiko made sure we were safe and comfortable the whole time we were together. Her recommendations on food and places to see were spot on, as well as her Kyoto travel tips.
