Once in a lifetime experience! Professional Team, captain Jacob, felt so safe and they made an experience less stressful! We saw 3-4 Mantas, one of them very huge just passed 2 inches from my body. Totally recommend this , but keep in mind you can easily got nausea on the boat when it slow down .

What a great experience. The boat captain and staff were knowledgeable and gave a very good safety lecture.
I will go again with Foot Loose Adventures.
Amber_B –
This was a fantastic trip! The captain and guides were amazing. The manta ray swam right up in front of us and did flips, which we were told is a feeding technique! I highly recommend and hang loose was a great company.

Great experience and highly recommend. The boat ride out to the spot was smooth despite the big waves and the crew was helpful throughout the the experience.

The manraray are beautiful and unusual. The crew were helpful and friendly. Bring a jacket or change of clothes for the ride back to port.

The captain and crew knew their stuff- they brought us to the right spot- the Manta Raya were there! The crew and captain were helpful and patient. This was a once in a lifetime experience.
Alexa_A –
This was an amazing experience. The guides were all fantastic and very attentive, giving stories about the Manta Rays and helping people if they needed assistance. Best of all, we saw about 10 Manta Rays which come right up to you! This was such an incredible experience. The boat can be a bit rough (not while it’s driving but when it’s anchored). The ride itself is a lot of fun.

AMAZING! Immediately after getting into the water a Manta Ray began feeding underneath us. It came so close that I thought it was going to touch us! Jacob and his team were fun, knowledgeable and professional.
Make sure to bring a dry shirt and windbreaker for the ride back as it gets pretty chilly

It truly took my breath away seeing these creatures swim in the ocean. I struggled a bit getting my mask and snorkel in the right position, but once I did, the experience was wonderful.

It is a must-do when you visit the Big Island! Simon and crew are hilarious and had us lauging from the second we boarded the boat. The ride itself was an adventure in its own right. We were bummed when we arrived at the spot to snorkel and heard it had been a slow day, but Simon shared the history of the location and a little about some of the long time manta residents. We understand it is never a guarantee as the rays are wild amd appreciated their patience and enthusiasm regardless. The crew finally saw one and immediately started getting everyone in the water. We are a family of 5 and got seprated in the bustle which meant our two younger boys got in the water before mys husband and I, and ended up on a board by themselves. They are 12 and 14, so safe without me by their side, but I wouldv’e liked for one of us to be by them as my younger son ended up going in shortly after getting in the water because he was scared. We did see a beautiful ray but visability wasn’t great. Simon did offer the tour another trip out since it wasn’t the greatest show. So book the tour, but if you have kids be sure to tell them to stay with you, even better try to get in front of them when everyone starts pushing for the ladder to get in the water and prepare everyone for the possibility of rough waters, poor visibility and a single sighting. No matter what the boat ride and crew were great and we’re excited to go out again.

The tour guide was funny and kept things moving. We had kids and he did a great job making them comfortable.

Captain didn’t consider the choppy waters and almost half the people on boat got sick. Would consider another option.

Amazing, once in a life time experience! We had a great time and saw several manta rays just inches from where we were floating. The captain was highly entertaining and the crew was knowledgeable and helpful. Everything was very orderly and we always felt like safety for the passengers and manta rays was important. We would totally recommend this experience!
Christina_W –
Captain was amazing as well as the crew ! Will definitely come back it was a truly awesome site to see the Manta Ray’s so close.

I absolutely loved this. Although I was terrified because I didn’t think through diving in the water in the dark. Yea there are lights out there but not at the boat. Yolo 😂

My family of five went on this excursion. We are different swim levels. I wore a life jacket. Captain Simon thoroughly explained everything from safety to interesting facts about the manta ray. My only complaint was that he didn’t push the go-pro sales more. They were only 40. I would have bought one if I knew you could match the mantas up to known ones. I was worried I was tired and would have trouble making it back to the boat. Crew members escorted me
Back so no worries. We saw at least a dozen mantas. They rolled right beneath us and were so close. I think they touched me a few times. It was an amazing vacation experience. I highly recommend Simon and his crew.
