This excursion was a total ripoff. The camel ride was 20 minutes, then you fluffed up 3 and a half hours with a cactus discussion, how to make corn tortillas, a bad buffet, a explanation of plastic recycling ( I mean, how random is that), a photo op with parrots and then a talk about chocolate. I have never seen a more random, unrelated group of activities ever in my life of traveling.
Lastly, the van drivers were extremely reckless. The return driver pulled out infront of a semi leaving your unpaved entranceway and the semi had to hit the brakes and laid on the horn for a very long time. Does the driver not realize he is responsible for ten people? Never will excursion with you again.

We’d highly recommend this adventure! The camel ride was great and our guide Isaac was fun and informative from the camel ride to the tequila tasting answering our questions. The camels are friendly and well loved. Also learned about the ranches recycling program and cocoa.

Our guide Pepe was amazing! Such a charismatic guy who made our experience that much better. They are very respectful of the camels and don’t push them to let us ride if they don’t want to- they will just bring out another camel. The Mexican buffet was delicious and tequila amazing! So much fun learning to make corn tequilas and really interesting learning about the native cacti.

Fun once in a lifetime experience with the family. Wish it was a little more affordable though: on top of the fees already charged, there’s an entrance fee on top of it when you get there. And the photos were extremely expensive over $250. Aren’t allowed to take your own. I think they would have more customers if fees were lower. Anyways food was good and so was the tasting. Lovely scenery during the ride. Kids enjoyed their he camels. Wish we had more than 20 min to ride though.

Overall great experience. The weather caught us off guard, because it was extremely chilly in the shade. also note you will not be able to take your own pics or use your camera or phone while on the camel experience, but all in all it was a good experience. The guides were pretty kool, and our camel Natalie was a real riot lol.

The bus ride there was long only thing I didn’t like… driver drove very fast but the ride back was in a bigger bus that was alot better… tour of the cactus trail was interesting,camel ride was rough but the meal was good and the tortilla demonstion was good….worth giving it a try

You aren’t permitted to take photos with the camels, but the photo package they offer is worth all the great pics. Highly recommended.
