Overall it was a nice trip. We had plenty of time at each stop with various options of things to do to choose from.

A dream come true. Absolutely beautiful. We walked to the lighthouse and had a highly informative tour of the lighthouse by a lovely guide. Walking back in the peaceful countryside was so good for the soul. Canterbury cathedral was stunning and breathtaking. Brilliant tour, highly recommended. Tour guide and bus driver showed great professionalism and friendliness.

Meet all my needs. Enough time to visit all sites.
Like the guide. Feel relaxed all the way. Will recommend to others

What a day! The cliffs were amazing and my 8 year old son loved them! Dover castle was very interesting to walk through and we got to see an underground hospital from WWII. Canterbury was also a lovely town. Our tour guide Darren was very knowledgeable and passionate about his job!

Although the White Cliffs of Dover was picturesome but the vehicle provided was not spacious, cramped up seats.
Car was full packed and conjested, Driver and guide was somewhat ok.

This tour was perfect. Beautiful views and plenty of time to enjoy Dover and Canterbury. Dover was one of the most stunning places I’ve seen. Canterbury was a great Cathedral and town. Great guide. Great day. Definitely recommend this tour.

The guide was so nice, and the bus driver was 1000% killin it – excellent skills, and taste in music! Such a fun adventure – lots of time to explore on your own, but still see the highlights!
stanislavm –
The cost of the tour was too expensive – the entrance to Dovers Castle and Canterbury Cathedral were not included. Our coach driver was very rude.
Otherwise the White Cliff, Dovers Castle, and Canterbury Castle were spectacular.

We chose this specific tour as it gave more time in Dover. I appreciated the ability to choose between more time at the cliffs or shorten the walk and spend time at the castle. Our choice was the castle as I was very intrigued to see the wartime tunnels. The short tour (20 min) of the hospital tunnels was really cool to see, satisfied the interest in the tunnels, and allowed us time to still explore the castle. The time in Canterbury was also very sufficient to see the entirety of the cathedral and still peruse the town and shops. Our tour guide, Tom, was very good at providing clear instructions of where to meet, when to meet, and reminding us that we could drop a pin on our maps to help find our way back to the bus for each stop. He was great at giving some history and fact and stories throughout our trip and had a fun sense of humor. Of all the tours we did while staying in London, this may have been my favorite!

I have done a-lot of tours. Your guide is what determines wether or not your tour is any good. Our guide Lucy was not very good. On the way to Dover she only pointed out one thing about the country side. When we got to Canterbury, she walked very fast, not everyone could keep up and only pointed out one building on the walking tour. She named one restaurant, then said, “obviously not everyone will be able to go in there.”
Elizabeth_D –
Tom was a good guide but our time at the castle was too limited. There was not enough time to see WW2 tunnels and the castle. We had to choose one of the other.

The white cliffs were beautiful and there were trails to hike and a lot of pics to take. We were given the option of paying ourselves to go through the Dover Castle or hang around the cliffs. This was for a two hour time period. Our group split between both. Those who did the cliffs enjoyed but not much else to do and I would say 2 hours is too much time for this but not enough for the castle. Canterbury was quaint and we had 2 hours there has well. You had to pay to go into the cathedral or you could explore town and get a late lunch on your own. We went to a pub that was recommended and waited 48 min for our food which we took in a to go container and walked trying to look at stuff around and the shops while eating. I was not particularly happy that we didn’t have time for much. Lucy the tour guide was nice and pleasant, but it felt rushed all day.

This was my first trip to England, so I appreciated everything about the trip–walking the Cliffs of Dover, touring the Dover Castle as well as Canterbury Cathedral.
Marc_L –
We were disappointed that we were on our own at all the venues; We would have appreciated fewer stops and more input from the guide. Lucy was very good at organizing the busload of tourists and making sure everybody was on schedule, but she was unable to give us more than minimal insight into the sites. I think we just signed up for the wrong tour; we are interested in in-depth information and guided tours of the sites. We should have signed up for a tour with fewer stops and more guided involvement.

I always wanted to see the white cliffs of Dover and his lighthouse take a view of France from the other side of the channel. I didn’t expect such a big and historical castle. I met local men who gave me a lot of knowledges about the history of the place, since the anglo saxons, william the conqueror, Napoleon’s wars and Hitler’s wars. It surpassed my expectations. Then in Canterbury I had a lot of luck and acquired my self two locals (a young man and a very old one) who toured and guided me inside the cathedral, and explained me the transition of it from roman to gothic, its history and the use of the ‘painted windows’. Also and most important of all, our guide Lucy was the best, helpful, thoughtful, joyable and kind. We liked her very much. Our driver was a very skilled lady, also kind, and most resourceful.

We have been wanting to journey outside of London. We booked this experience because the others were sold out. We really wanted the castle and it wasn’t clear if we could do the castle and see the cliffs when we booked. But yes! You can get some great photo ops with the cliffs and then whoever chooses can stay at the cliffs and those that want to go to the castle can go the coach takes you up to the castle entrance. You do have to pay by or your tickets as they are not included but it’s worth it. There is also a cafe inside the castle with kids meals for 4.85€ and other sandwiches and beverages. The gift shop that is inside it beautiful and has everything from Gin to kids swords this gift shop has it. They even sell medieval helmets. The coach didn’t let us eat on it but you have a few minutes at stops to eat a snack. So have your coffee and croissant before you show up. This tour leaves very punctually so definitely don’t be late. The guide did not speak the whole time but rather ten minutes before each destination. So if you are looking for some great napping time this is a great fit. Our guide Lucy was nice and helpful.

It was enjoyable. I was disappointed that the cost of the trip did not include entry fees which I had to pay at Dover castle and Canterbury cathedral. The tour guide was mediocre. She gave bad advice at both stops. Otherwise it was on time and went to the intended destinations.

I tried to leave a review but the links from your email took me to a place where I could review Stonehenge and Bath, but that’s not where we went. So here’s my review of Dover and Canterbury Cathedral. The White Cliffs were lovely former nice view of the cliffs along footpaths above them. Canterbury Cathedral was a disappointment and certainly not worth the £ 16 we paid per person to get in. Compared to other cathedrals in the UK, this one was mostly dull. It was large, but not pretty except for a couple of windows. I’d not recommend it to anyone. I was expecting more. Actually our guide may have been encouraging spending our time seeing other things in Canterbury because he talked a lot about restaurants and interesting things to see in the city, but he really didn’t say much about the cathedral. The town was interesting and nice, so one can do that instead of wasting time in the cathedral. We didn’t go to Dover castle, which was an option.

It was hard to hear Tom on the bus towards the back but he worked on getting it fixed quickly. He was a friendly and pleasant tour guide. Blessing did a fabulous job of maneuvering the big tour bus down narrow streets. The Cliffs, Dover Castle and Canterbury Cathedral were excellent. Just wish there had been more time at the Cathedral since there was so much to see. We only got to see about half before we had to return to the bus. 🙁

This was a good trip to cover Dover cliffs, Dover castle, the city of Canterbury and Canterbury Cathedral. The only problem was we felt rushed in all the places. The travel to all these sites was very comfortable. Tom our coach was really good in sharing interesting facts about all the sites and giving us pointers on things to do. If we had a couple of hours, this would have been a great trip. Tip for travelers who choose this trip – choose a grab-and-go lunch at Canterbury instead of a sit down restaurant or pub. You could save a ton of time and explore the place a lot more.
