Beautiful views, once in a lifetime.experience. However, i asked for an english tour, and they mixed it with the mandarin tour. It’s bilingual, but the guide has a huge chinese accent which makes it hard to understand most of the time. Also, all the meals aren’t covered, which makes the bill go way up and i didnt plan this. Happy to experience it but I won’t go back on one of those tours.

The tour goes to the places listed and the scenery is dramatic and magnificent and worth seeing. The bus was comfortable. The hotels were clean and reasonably comfortable but not as high quality as I expected on a prepaid tour. Two hotels out of 3 had no elevator and all hotels had many rooms that required half a flight or a full flight of stairs to be covered carrying luggage – no aid was offered for those not wishing or able to carry luggage up and down stairs – at the mercy of fellow travelers for this help. Hotels did not have breakfast available on site. They offer a meal package that includes primarily Asian buffets, though some American/Canadian was available at some meal plan restaurants. If you didn’t buy the meal plan, the guide didn’t do much at all to guide you to find alternatives. The meal plan places cost $25 to $35 Canadian each for lunch and dinner if paid for without the meal plan – you could do that if you wanted to. Most disappointing was the tour guide language. The tour was listed as bi-lingual Chinese and English. The guide spent at least 3/4 of the time speaking Mandaran or Candonese, 1/4 or less English. And unfortunately we few English only speakers (maybe 5 out of 30) could not understand the guide’s English accent well. We got about 1/3 of what he said in English if we worked at it. And gave up trying after 3 days. And the guide did not tell us as much about the natural beauties and wonders as we expected. Hours would go by without a comment while driving through beautiful places with fantastic sights. Little said about wildlife, trees, or stories of building of the railroad that was a big factor in settlement of the area. They also didn’t provide any handouts with maps showing where were and where we were going each day. Maps are really cheap and nice – why not pass them out? We expected hours of good stories about the history of the locations while on the bus but were disappointed. Overall we are glad we saw the sights but disappointed in the other tour content and language especially. We have been on several other tours – day long and weeks long – all around the world and this was the least informative one per hour of any by far.

Your advert stated Luxurious and Deluxe coaches, I am afraid what you call Luxurious and Deluxe is not what I call Luxurious and Deluxe. When we got on the bus we were told that we were NOT allowed to use the onboard toilet as it could become smelly, the tour guide did say that we would be stopping at wash areas we were also advised NOT to drink on board as drinking could mean using a toilet more, we were also told (not at the same time that we were not allowed to eat hot food on the bus not eat ice cream.
The bus itself, for being Luxurious and Deluxe had zero amenities for being Luxurious and Deluxe, in face there was a damp area in the area around the and a noise came from the outside the bus, the drive jumped onto the roof and repaired it with Duck Tape I have supporting photographs.
The driver himself was excellent and very professional, the tour guide was very knowledgeable. The Rockies them self are so beautiful. The hotels were amazing. Glad that we bought the attraction tickets. Glad that we didn’t buy the meal tickets as they were mostly Chinese restaurants (nothing wrong with that its me, I like plane food), in fact they went to the same restaurant twice, which I thought was strange as we drove through plenty of places which had great restaurants.

Hello, I just returned from this trip and there are many things that I feel deceived about.
    1. This stated an English tour guide. While Tom is a very kind person, understanding him was EXTREMELY difficult
    2. I did not purchase the meal plan. Had we purchased it, all meals were Chinese buffet which was NEVER mentioned. Seems like whomever did not purchase the meal plan we were left to “figure” it out and our options were AWFUL!
    3. Better planning would have helped on the first day. We were on the bus for FIFTEEN hours! Nine minutes from our supposed destination there was an issue with the reservation and had to drive an additional 1.5 hours to another location
    4. I never received an itinerary so had no clue where we were stopping along the way and since myself and all the other English speaking guests couldn’t understand Tom, we really didn’t know where we were going
Once again, Tom is a very nice man but I wouldn’t recommend this since MANY details were left out. The sights we visited were beautiful but we only had 3 hours in the town of Banff, in the evening when most things were closing
This tour is good if you speak Mandarin and enjoy eating Chinese buffet for every meal. The lack of info would not make me recommend this tour

Everything was wonderful ! We had a pleasant experience and we would recommend it to our friends and family.

The trip was good. Good clean hotels to stay. Well organised. Just one thing that could have been better is the meal arrangement. It catered to the Chinese tourist only. The area where they stopped for meals could have been better for those who didn’t choose meal plans.

The worst part was when Tom actually demanded CAD 60 (CAD 120 per couple) – in cash – per person as tips for him and the driver. Totally Illegal and unprofessional. Actually, I want a refund of CAD 120.

  14. Wilfried_S

  15. LukiaBarbara_M

Terrible tour guide (Tom) who ruined the tour with his rudeness and pushiness. Tom was very focused on how much everything cost, how terrible each place was and what he didn’t like about things. Everything was very Asian focused (all meal plans were catered for Asian’s). Most dialogue was in asian.

The whole trip was memorable. Lake Louise and the ice field were awesome. Also seeing the black bear close up was brilliant. Both Harry the driver, and BOB the guide were excellent, and knowledgeable.
