This was one of the best tours, that I have ever been on. The beauty & history of the Katherine Gorge is remarkable.
Our driver(Neil) was very informative & funny. It was so well organized. Our guide at the Katherine Gorge, was equally as good. Thank you Neil. Apart from the beauty of the tour, you made the day so special.
Amy_B –
The breathtaking – almost reverend scenery. Our host Prem and Anthony very friendly and helpful- the guide down the Gorge was very knowledgeable and approachable. A fantastic experience all round
CaseyLee_F –
Prem our tour guide was a close second in the highlight of our day. The highlight being the Gorge Cruise. The third highlight was getting off the overpacked bus. Upon booking the tour it mentions “this tour will have a maximum of 50 guests”, our tour had 57. And while 7 extra guests does not sound like a lot, it seems those 7 were incessantly coughing, sniffling and sneezing – and as you can imagine there is no way to get away from someone who won’t cover their mouth while coughing on a bus for up to two hours at a time that is packed to the brim.
On a brighter note, as mentioned, Prem our guide was fantastic, he always wore a smile and was very happy. Lunch was a totally unexpected surprise and was delicious -10/10 there.
The gorge is absolutely stunning. I would recommend though going with a smaller tour operator.

Driver Prem was very good informative and got us all there and back safe and sound. Kept everyone on the bus on time to meet the next scheduled appointment
Axemans_F –
Amazing tour, must see if in Darwin. The boat tour was definitely the highlight. We enjoyed the stop of at the Adelaide River war Memorial and Edith Falls for a refreshing swim. Bis driver/guide was very good, knowledgeable and a little funny without being too much. Can’t fault the tour operator AAT king is at the top of the teee, professional and well run tours. Just be aware its a really long day, 14 hours approx, 3.5 to 4 hrs each way, in the bus.
Anthony_R –
It was good but I am not keen on the large groups would have been better with small group. The actual tour was great and the gorge tour was fantastic highly recommended going to Katherine gorge
Hamish_W –
Boat tour through 2 gorges the highlight. Bus driver Prem was well organised and informative. Lunch was plentiful. Long time on bus to & from Darwin but this is expected
Teresa_B –
Cruise was epic, definitely an experience of a lifetime. It’s a visual feast of colours that can only be experienced here.
However, all up it’s 800km of driving..long trip – so it’s a good way to catch up on sleep and lunch was a good buffet mix with salads, cold meats, lasagna, roast vegies, crocodile loaf!
Naomi_B –
Absolutely fantastic day very hot make sure you drink plenty of water. Edith springs was absolutely beautiful and so refreshing for a swim. Prem our bus driver was absolutely amazing with his commentary and a generally nice guy.

Katherine gorge & Edith falls were amazing. Our tour guide was very informative and got us on time to each stop
Bruce_O –
Loved swimming at Edith Falls to cool off on the way to Katherine Gorge.
The cruise along the gorge was exceptional and everyone on board had the chance to take great photos from wherever they were sitting.
We also thoroughly enjoyed the hike between gorges
Long restful drive home after an incredible day exploring!
Nell_B –
Although a very long, hot day, I’d recommend this tour, no worries.
The Coach driver/tour guide, did a brilliant job, lots of local information and also mini movies about the area in between.
Edith Falls was beautiful, you can go for a swim.
Lunch at Katherine Gorge was delicious and plentiful-had our first try of Crocodile meat!
The boat through the Gorge was wonderful, the photos can never do it justice. You take a boat cruise, then hop off and walk 450 metres, if you don’t think you can, or can’t, you don’t have to do that part. Thoroughly enjoyed both the boat cruises, it was a very hot day, the walk between boats was 450 metres, both ways.
My one tip would be take Hydralite in tablet form with you, break in half and put 1-2 in water, you will sweat absolute buckets, and easy to feel unwell in days like that.
I’m not giving medical
Advice, read the label for instructions.
Brilliant trip we won’t forget.

getting to learn about the first nation’s culture and history delivered excellently by our tour guide, sharing her remarkable experience and knowledge .We are spoilt in this big country with so many national treasures and Katherine Gorge ranks as one of the best.
Marion_S –
KATHERINE GORGE a must see. We were very fortunate to have Mark as our driver and guide. He was extremely knowledgable on the area and all it has to offer, sharing so much info and making the very long trip worthwhile. The boat trip down the gorge was the highlight of the tour, with the guides again being exceptionally knowledgable and eager to share.
Marisa_C –
Long day but worth it.
As a vegetarian I was advised by the tour company that I had to pay extra if I wanted a vegetarian meal and there should be enough options at the buffet lunch. After lunch when we returned to the bus the driver said there was a veggie meal for someone but he didn’t know who it was. It would have been nice to have been advised earlier.
Rienzie_M –
The gorge cruise was very good. We did see a few crocs on the cruise. The lunch buffet meal was very good. The bus had comfortable seating but despite the promise of wifi & USB ports on the web there was none. Pick up was at a close by hotel. Average commentary, would have preferred a First Nation commentator to give us more insights in their way of life & culture in Katherine
Bronwyn_S –
The Katherine tour was a great way to learn about
the local Aboriginal history and community. Our driver/tour guide Prem, provided us with a safe and comfortable drive, with lots of information about the towns we passed through. It was a long day, but we’ll worth it.
David_C –
Although a very long day it was well worth it. The journey to the Gorges (2 off) was interspersed with side excursions like the WWII War Graves at Adelaide River, a very uplifting experience.
