Memorable day at the Red Sea… special thanks to our guide Kazim and driver Mehmoud. They made us feel comfortable and safe and well taken care of right from the start. Definitely recommend this must do activity while in Cairo.
Spiros_G –
Long drive and no sightseeing. Beach had lots of rocks but water was clear. Room was poor and lunch average.

Just getting away from Cairo to go swimming was a great experience. Waheed, our guide, made sure that we we had a good time. Waheed was fun company, he had lots of fun stories to tell. We were never bored.

This was an A+ experience! We were informed beforehand how long the drive would be (2+ hrs from Giza hotel), but even the drive was amazing. Since our hotel was a little out of the way, we had a personal driver (Waheem sp?) in a Hyundai :), but still felt comfortable. He pointed out the different communities that were being built for the New Government areas, as well as, the oil and steel factories (their exports). When we arrived at the resort (a little dated), we were given plenty of time to relax in our day room before proceeding to the beach. Waheem was like our personal butler; he made sure we had everything we needed. When we decided to do the tubing in the Red Sea, he set it up, prepaid for us, so all we needed to worry about was having fun! The Lunch buffet was good. Not great, but not bad either. We loved their chicken, they seasoned it perfectly. After eating, we headed back “home”, and slept like a log on the way back. It was a pretty darn great day, and I made sure Waheem’s pockets reflected that 🙂
Things to remember:
It WILL be a long drive from Cairo. With traffic, 2+ hours. W/o traffic, maybe 90mins.
It is an all day experience. They picked us up at 8am and we got back at 5pm
There may or may not be towels in day room (we did have them), so come prepared or don’t be afraid to ask for one.
The traffic police DON’T PLAY! Which is ironic in Egypt (inside joke). If they pull you over for speeding, be expected to pay LE1000 fine on the spot.
Last note: We were lucky enough to spot Spinner Dolphins while swimming in the Red Sea!! My highlight!

We traveled go the Red Sea with Muhmound Hakiem and man what an experience he made it for us! He took care of all the back ground requirements so that we could just enjoy the experience! We were bumbed about not getting a chance to boat paddle, bout our tour guide made us quickly forget once he jumped into the sea to teach us how to w
Swim!
Definitely request him if you make it into Egypt!

Our guide, Tolba, was an experienced coordinator and made our trip splendid! He satisfied all our needs and was very attentive to our enjoyment. Knowledgeable and helpful, highly recommended 🙂

If you have a long layover this is definitely the way to go. I was able to swim in the Red Sea (bring water shoes as it’s full of small rocks) and then take a long nap

Our trip began with the guide asking us if we would like something to drink. We said no a few times but he insisted. Eventually we said ok. He came back with 2 bottles of water, a pepsi and 2 chips and told us we had to give him $75 Egyptian, so my husband gave him $100 Egyptian. He didn’t say a word to us the whole 2hrs trip. We got to the beach and we were the only ones there. I don’t know if that was because of the season. We spent 3 hrs ate lunch and left. A waste of time
Cristian_V –
We loved how relaxing it was, we loved our guide, the food was amazing, I recommend 100%, our guide was really helpful and nice, the Red Sea is beautiful.
Joy_J –
Just a tip, you won’t have beach access unless you pay for it. It is a resort with private beach. We paid for only a driver and later found out that we have to pay in order to just get in the water. That isn’t clear from the description, so wanted to let people know. The location is nice and peaceful, but it was bit odd that no one was around. I’m wondering if it’s because off season? Anyway, I didn’t feel like I could just freely walk the beach. Everytime we got up to do something our driver would be there to direct us. Also, know that there isn’t much to do, the beach is rocky. There are jet skis and a boat ride for rent. They do provide you with beach towels.

My comfort was always highest priority. Always checking to be sure I was having a great time. Felt like a queen for the day

Our driver Hassen was so patient. He drove us to the red sea with such great care, however, we did not know that access to the beach had a fee. We were aware that we needed to pay for the use of equipments.
Lisa_B –
Turned out to be the worse tour of the trip. Especially to be intimidated to pay upon our return home. This was very disconcerting. I would never recommend this tour to anyone.
RAYMOND_A –
This experience was the worst of my trip and I made multiple excursions throughout the 8 days my wife and I were in Cairo. The Dome Marina may be a 2 star hotel at best and nothing on the description of this tour matches what you get. In addition to this, my wife and I witnessed an assault between a male and female staff member with little to no one willing to address this issue on site. I can say for the money and time do something else. Fyi my trip was so terrible I didnt ask for a refund and still tipped but I did that so I could follow up this review so no one on their side tries to make it seem like I was trying to get a refund. I would wholeheartedly avoid this excursion altogether. I have family and friends coming in a Group of 8 in March and I made sure to let them know to avoid emo tours and this tour in particular altogether. Trust me dont waste your time, money or effort on this one, I didnt gain anything from this one but a bad experience and total waste of my time but hopefully I can help the next person not get screwed over..

I have to say that response was amazing as I book the activity with less than 24 hours on the website and I got contact with the local operator a minutes later I made the reservation.
In the first time, everything was ok, driver and guide were polite.
When we were at the hotel, I saw my guide talking with a local seller, then the local seller came to me and offer me a tour to the Red Sea, and told him I will think about it, then at 12:10 I decide to go and my guide was hungry so we was upset that I take the tour, he brought the restaurant staff to yelled at me because I want to go to the tour, they started talk in Arabic and I told my guide I will go to the tour, then the driver was upset because I want to go to the tour and they start a fight infront of me. I just decide to cancelled, of course they ruined my relaxing day. Chicken was not in good conditions. And waiter was pussing me to finish my food.
Guide apologized and I told him I was very upset with everything, he said try to understand, they are this way. What!!! I don’t have to understand group of male yelling and try to decide for me.
I don’t recommend the hotel, non this tour, non the driver.
Only the male maid who was in charge of my room, he was so nice and polite. He was the only one with service outstanding.
I want a discount of the price that I paid as unacceptable you offer something then I have to fight with you.

It was a nice experience. Peaceful and breathtaking. Lunch is included and a personal tour guide. I would recommend.

We were picked up by a lovely tour guide Basam and his driver. It took a good couple of hours from our hotel near the pyramids. The infrastructure of Cairo or New Cairo as it stands is precarious to say the least! But please don’t let this put you off. It will be fabulous once it’s all finished. We found our ‘home for the day’ a little tired (I’m sure it was a cracking hotel 20 years ago). None the less it was perfectly adequate for our purposes. The staff were very friendly. The beach and sea were such a welcome change from the hustle and bustle in Cairo. As it was out of season the hotel was more or less deserted so we had the place all to ourselves! All in all a really enjoyable experience.
Claire_T –
It was ok. Guide didn’t tell us much about the area. He was a nice guy tho. The dove marina is outdated. Food was ok.
Not really much to do.
Glad I saw the red sea
Gary_H –
It was a nice enjoyable ride traveling through different towns, as well as sightseeing. The Red Sea was so beautiful minus it being a little rocky. I would have loved staying overnight for a couple of days.
MarcoAurelio_V –
The Emo Tuor agency was the worst agency I’ve ever had contact with! At the last minute I was told that the guide in my language was no longer available I was offered in a blunt manner whether or not I wanted an English speaking guide! To my surprise they sent a driver (very polite) who only spoke Arabic! I contacted the agency who said the guide would be waiting for me (where? because I didn’t find anyone). On the way we had an accident on the road because the driver was always talking on the cell phone. Luckily, nothing serious happened to me, because the other car hit the side of the door where I was! The resort is great but the service leaves a lot to be desired people always peeled and with the cell phone not to worry about anything only the barita that served me was really working! I do not recommend this agency to anyone.

The driver hamadein was very fun to be with. He was very outgoing and very concerned about my pleasure in experiences. He offered me drinks at the gas station and even fruit that he purchased. He made sure I got to my motel which was hard to find. The red sea was beautiful and the best part of Egypt. Had my own room at the resort for a few hours. Loved it, however the company did not pick me up for the airport the next day after I paid for transportation with my credit card. They did not answer calls or texts. I do not recommend this tour operator. They were even late picking me up for this tour. Very disappointed.
