The coach from London to Windsor was clean and comfortable, and the guide onboard gave us a thorough history of the castle before we arrived at the gate. Once there, we were able to wander the grounds and the castle buildings at our own pace and see the things that were important to us.

Disappointed that the bus was late and we were not given any extra time at Windsor. Also surprised that very little commentary was provided on the way there and on arrival were led to the door of the castle but not given any information. It would have been helpful to have been provided with some idea on what could be realistically seen within the time we were there but the guide merely said “have a good time” and left us. On the way home the bus driver gave some great commentary and provided some very interesting information which was very welcome in contrast to the trip there.

Seeing the history displayed here first hand was wonderful. The actual tour was by audio guide and very informative. Photos outdoors were the only ones allowed. Our guide gave some interesting facts and information during the bus trip to Windsor. After we departed the bus it was hard to hear (large group) what she was saying. It would have been nice to spend a little more time in Windsor exploring shops and eateries. Maps we’re passed out of the town so we could find our way back to the bus park. The instructions to find the beginning point of the tour weren’t very clear as we aren’t used to navigating by postal codes.

The bus is clean and driver is experience. Tour guy is professional and the castle is great. 4 star instead of 5 because we felt rushed. We had about 2.5hours to explore and it was a light tourist day at the castle. However, we didn’t have enough time to do the dollhouse/lunch/check out the town. We barely had enough time to see the long walk and took a few pictures . It would be better if the tour is 1 more hour longer.

I very seldom ever say negative things about a tour/personnel.. this is one time I feel a need to speak out! Our guide was obviously in inexperienced or very poorly trained. She was flighty and unprofessional. She was inconsiderate and unfeeling towards needs of tour clients with disabilities. She did not do the proper planning/follow-up concerning conditions contributing to log jam for groups to enter/clear security. She made little or no attempt to keep us informed as to prevailing conditions. If she had just mingled a bit to reassure or inform the group. She seemed to be obvious to the fact at only the few closest to her could hear anything she said.. then she had the audacity to ask us to use her, H-A-I-L-E-Y, as a reference to get a discount for people we referred!

Standing in line for over an hour to go through security. Then, standing in line, shuffling like a herd of cows to go through the chapel. Never got to see the Queen’s doll collection! Too many lines, too many people! Very disappointing.

So little time at Windsor after travel, long queues, and ticketing issues. 10 minutes was added to the return departure time which did not even come close to the time wasted. Sound system on board bus stopped working so host shared little information. We ended up taking the train back so that we would have time to appreciate Windsor.
