Fami and Made Cheng were great guides! We were able to see the blue fire, sulfur mines, and watch the sun rise over the blue lake and mountainous background. We ended with a local Indonesian breakfast. Would recommend this to anyone active who is looking for a unique adventure during their time in Indonesia

My sister and I booked the overnight tour to Mount Ijen and had the most AMAZING time. Everything was incredibly organised from the booking confirmation, organising our hotel pickup all the way to getting us to the hike and bringing us back in one piece. Our driver, Fafa, was so lovely and we had great conversation during the 4 hour car ride. He made sure we got to the ferry safely and that we knew exactly who was picking us up on the other end. Once we arrived in Java, our tour guide was there waiting for us with a huge smile. Fahmi was an absolute legend and we could not have asked for a better tour guide to get us up and down the mountain. Fahmi had great knowledge of the area and let us have plenty of rest breaks on the way up. He went above and beyond to make sure we had some awesome photos and even made us a little video of the best highlights of the trip. Would 1000% recommend booking through this team and having Fafa and Fahmi as your driver and guide. We can’t wait to return!

The hike starts at 2am, by dark, and it lasts aprox 5h (3h to go and 2h back). You can rent warm jacket and buy gloves in the coffee shop at the start. This is a very demanding hike (not just a regular walk in the nature), you literally go from stone to stone in the last 30 min.
