This tour exceeded our expectations. Not only was our guide very knowledgeable, he adjusted to the pace of our group (which was slower due to my mother’s disability). As an added bonus, when we asked to add a little to our package, he allowed us to do so, taking us to St. John’s Basilica and giving a full tour there as well. I would recommend this tour company and guide to anyone!

Our tour guide Selma was waiting for us as planned. She was professional, very friendly and informative. Ephesus is well worth a visit, very interesting and they are excavating all the time. On our way back we dropped into a pottery to see how they make it and the Temple of Artemis.

Gufte was an awesome guide! She took us on a really great tour and I learned so much. We got a lot of free time to wander around and also spent some time with her learning about all of the amazing history. We had such a good time that she convinced me to join her and the group the next day to go to Pamukkale! I’m so grateful for her time and how she made it so much fun.

I didn’t like the whole experience. The guide was rude, he arrived 15 minutes late, discriminated me from the rest of the group and rushed the entire process because he was in a hurry to bring us to a expensive shop before lunch – Shop that wasn’t mentionned in the discription. Waste of time juste for him to get a commission on each sale I guess. I didn’t like and can’t recommend.

Our tour was for just 4 people. With such a small group we were able to move quickly through Ephesus deciding between us which spots to linger at and which to bypass. Our guide was informative and interesting, happy to go along with our wishes.
The House of the Virgin Mary was quiet and peaceful but not interesting in itself although the story behind it was.
We were picked up and returned to our ship punctually and efficiently.

Our guide was wonderful. Prompt pickup and great energy despite having an eye infection. He provided good information, though I wish it was more geared toward Christianity and it’s presence during those times (not his fault, just my personal preference). Lunch was delicious. Did not enjoy the salesy “fashion show” stop at a leather shop. I’m not sure why every tour seems to need a “shopping stop” to push goods on you. Entrance fees to the locations have gone up dramatically (hello hyper inflation) so just be aware beforehand. Otherwise, it was a wonderful trip. Glad I got to see Ephesus ruins and Mary’s house. I might suggest adding a stop at John’s Basilica.

She explained the history of Ephesus in amazing detail ….. how does she remember it all … we strolled around Our Ladies house and did everything at our own pace which was nice. I definitely recommend this tour and as it was a short one we still had time for food and shopping in Kusadasi harbour before reboarding our ship. 10/10 to Viator and of course the lovely Gonca for making our day a very enjoyable one.
