We couldn’t find the group. Company called at 6:12 and we still couldn’t find the group. I called the next morning and they would not re book us on another tour. It was crazy crowded at the Vatican. Good luck finding your guide!

Hop on/off was fine. We had a tour of Coliseum confirmed for 3pm. We were there an hour prior to tour. We were told 3x we were at wrong location to meet tour – running back and forth. Missed the tour in the end. Disappointing….

reasonably priced, was a bit chaotic to get on the bus at busy Vaticano stop on Sat but then it was a smooth circle passing many of Rome’s highlights. Audio guide quite brief but it is oretty much the standard on other hop-on hop-off city nus tours in other cities.

We were unable to use the hop on and off. Because it was so crowded and we had to get to other tours. We booked 3 days and I tried to get the money back for at least 2 of the days. And I did it in advance the 24 hours , but they wouldn’t refund, so I spent the money and didn’t get to use it at all.

We booked a 9 am tour that included admission to other events. The day of our tour was Republic Day in Italy. The attractions were closed 9-2. I spoke Viator who knew nothing about it. The Sightseeing Rome company never bother to tell anyone. We were forced to totally rearrange our day. Once our tour finally started at 2pm, we were told all the add on tours were booked. This was our last day in Rome. The headphone were muffled. The tour folks were more concerned with entertaining each other than the customers. We have taken hop on all over Europe. This was a terrible experience that ruined our last day. Probably will use Get Your Guide from here on. Viator was very non caring and will be most likely rebook my remaining 15 tours with the other guy who is more informed.

Glad I had this tour booked when child broke arm before trip. This was an easy way to rest, see key sights and become familiar with the main tourist part of Rome. The buses are popular and you may queue but still worth it.

The audio portion differed from bus to bus, the big bus had decent audio, city sightseeing was not very well done. We could never get on one of the yellow buses, so I don’t know how that audio was. We ended up, not really using the buses because they were so overfilled and you could not get on them and it was just easier to walk.

Took the entire loop to get familiar with the city. Then returned to two stops that seemed most likely to provide great sights. A great way to expose ourselves to ideas for later. The accommodations were excellent. Had some lines returning from stops, but not unbearable times. Would recommend for early in your trip to Roma!

The HOPO is an excellent way to see Rome. You’re above all the crowd in summer and the route has some amazing photo opportunities. Easy to get on and off at various spots. One thing I noticed is that the early journeys are not as crowded as the afternoon journeys. So if a top deck spot is desired the earlier journey may be better.

There was a choice of 3 buses. The ending times were a little confusing. Very friendly guides and drivers. It seemed that they took a long time waiting at the some of the stops. The yellow bus also had a very long wait time. Good way to see Rome in a day!
