It was a seamless experience from hotel pick up to the scenic flight to the drop off. Ocean rafting was on time and they were kind enough to drop us off to a location we requested after the flight. We felt safe the entire time we had this experience, from safety debriefing and wonderful commentaries. The view from the top was magnificent. Seeing the Great Barrier for a bird’s eye view made me realise why it is a world’s wonder.

Great experience overall. Booking was easy and the team was quick to get back to me to confirm time and pick up location. All staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The flight was amazing, best view of the reef! Tip: sit behind the pilot (on the left) as you’ll be able to see what he sees. 😉

Excellent organisation from booking to flight. We were given a choice of pickup from cruise terminal or town and same options for drop off afterwards. Flight was fantastic with excellent commentary and flew both ways over Whitehaven Beach and Heart reef to give everyone a photo opportunity. Thank you Ocean Reef for making my wife´s “Big Birthday” so memorable

Then, we were given a short safety brief and boarded the plane. The plane we were seated in did not seem to have any bad seats, but there were seats that had better views than others. Our pilot was wonderful and made sure to go around each point of interest so that both sides of the plane were able to get a good view. The whole process of being picked up, boarding the plane, and enjoying the flight was painless. It was definitely worth the money to see these beautiful views. If you are going to take a scenic flight over the Great Barrier Reef or the Whitsundays, this company is the way to go. This is a great way to see the outer reef without having to endure multiple hours on a boat.
