Gordon_S –
Vlator tickets were really annoying and held us up at the gate for 5+ minutes, I wouldn’t recommend them, just go to the zoo website and purchase directly.
Grace_F –
Poorly managed zoo.
We spent money to see empty spaces. Most animals are either moved, or there’s only one of them. There’s only one tiger, one lion, one hippo. Tapirs, Snow leopard, koalas are no where to be found. The most disappointing will be the platypus. All we can see are shrimps. Only remembered seeing giraffes, zebra, gorillas, baboons, kangaroos, wombats, lemus, snakes, turtles, orangutans, tasmanian devils.
If you’ve seen those animals already, i do not recommend going to the zoo. Tiger seemed extremely bored and have been pacing for hours.
Elva_N –
Amazing zoo, loved it all the animals looked well cared for had a great time will come again very soon
Evelyn_T –
The most memorable part of my experience is being with my family and having a lovely time.
The children wanted to see all the animals.
Leanne_B –
Vast Zoo with plenty of space for both humans and animals.
It’s spread out with plenty of places to sit, eat & drink or rest.
Highlights for us were the elephants, giraffes and penguins, my daughter also loved the playful platypus.
It was easy enough to get there via tram.
Well priced experience, probably our cheapest in Melbourne since kids are free.
No issues with the mobile ticket at the gate, we used the back entrance off the tram and walked straight in (wasn’t expecting this in the midst of school holidays)
Great day out.
Solomon_D –
Great fun! Professional and easy going. Highly recommended to others! Don’t hesitate when you making a booking
Paul_W –
A lovely clean place lots of space for both humans and animals.
Staff happy and helpful. Well laid out and an easy to follow map helped navigate us total strangers to the place around almost all of it.
Having time for food and a drink in the time we had available which was about 4 hours.
We didn’t stop and wait for any of the arranged talks knowing we were on a tight time limited visit.
Yes we will return at some point hopefully as were are visitors from the UK and our son now works out here. Had the zoo been closer to home it would have been a definite yes.
Felecia_B –
This is my first time here in Melbourne and was so excited to go to a zoo where I didn’t feel bad because the animals didn’t seemed to be stressed out. They were free to roam around naturally and not feel restrained in any way. It was rewarding to see this throughout the zoo.
Judy_R –
Seeing the tiger and the butterflies and spending time with our daughter and grandchildren . Love the whole time with the family
Sharon_S –
The zoo was a wonderful experience for the kids aged 3 and twenty months. Plenty of space ,wonderful gardens and all sorts of environments to run, crawl, climb and play.
Oh and active ,mostly healthy looking animals who were active in the cool of the morning. The only sad bit was the pacing tiger who looked agitated.
Kushal_K –
It was super experience. I highly recommend others to use this service. It was good time spent with family and kids
Errin_L –
All the animals were out and about, zoo staff were very knowledgeable and happy to have a chat and the grounds were very well looked after.
Juan_T –
Not to international city standards . 1 Koala not even visible , No Kangaroos due to renovation. Poor value for money Staff friendly and helpful
victoria_v –
animals and the size of the zoo were amazing although the food was not really good and was lacking variety
Marilou_O –
all good, staff were very nice, but not worth the money when animals are hiding…times should be advertised on what time is BEST for people to be there! Didnt see kangaroos etc
Sherri_C –
The baby elephants. The tigars and the geraffees.. the staff were very friendly and the food hall were well organised
