Francesca was an excellent tour guide, we enjoyed the tour very informative.
    She was very attentive.

  2. Dixie_W

Very knowledgeable tour guide. Amazing to be right there where all the fights took place. Highly suggest taking the tour

I will tell you the LEAST favorite.
Difficult to locate tour with no indication ex: Red shirt or flag color. Missed tour, waited 3 hrs for another English speaking tour

  5. david_c

Such confusion…..we were told to wait with another grp for VIP small grp as our trip was full, then we were all told that guide did not come…..then third person came over &told us to request refund…..company will not give refund….total rip-off….do not use

Our tour guide Francesca was amazing! She was full of information and very knowledgeable! She gave life to our tour and was one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had.

The experience itself was a 5 star tour! We would do it again without hesitation. The reason for our downgrade to 4 stars was due to lack of proper information from the tour group. Our email said to look for a guide in a white uniform w/an umbrella with the company logo on it. Neither of these was the case. No one associated w the tour group was in white. To add to that, because of the heat, the guides were hidden under the trees where they were not easy to find. Thankfully my husband is 6’5” and just happened to overhear a guide say where they were from. But the experience itself was worth it!!

Was emailed & sent WhatsApp message of reschedule from 0930 to 0900
Eventually someone turned up at 0920 even though told to be at redemption point 10 minutes early
Eventually tour started at 0945 – 55 minutes after redemption time! Not good enough! If 45 / 60 people can turn up time why can’t organisers ?
Also where was Palatine Hill part of your?
Do not get me wrong Tour guide Massimo was excellent however he showed up at 0920 suspect he was not told of time change
Compared to different company for Vatican tour this tour needs to look at what they do! Very poor second place

Tour time changed with less than 1 day notice. Unfortunately we were still able to attend the new time. The guide was very dull and none of our group could understand anything that was said. The architecture is very impressive, but you’d be best getting a self guided tour and downloading the Rick Steves audio commentary.

This tour is definitely not worth the money, the tour guide was lovely and clearly passionate about the subject, but almost completely inaudible with the quality of the ear pieces/thick accent. I honestly have no idea what we were looking at, at the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill because we couldn’t piece together what was being said. We seemed to spend way too much time standing in one spot being told information, everyone in the group was visibly restless by the end.

A few days before the tour, we were contacted and moved to a slightly later time, so be prepared for that. It appears quite a few tour companies use this church as a meeting point. The confirmation e-mail states the employees will be in company uniform, which was definitely not the case. You may have to ask around. There is very little organization in how the check-in process works, and you may have to be vocal if your check-in time is approaching.
Things settled done once you have checked in, and you have found your tour guide. Cara was a great guide, and we learned a lot. And be warned that there is a lot of walking and climbing stairs; don’t forget to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated in the summer (an umbrella is also helpful).
I also thought the arena floor tour also included the Colosseum underground, but that is not the case. Lesson learned. Still a good tour.

We had a horrible experience, due to miscommunication from you we thought you needed us to reschedule our trip on the 12th we rescheduled to the 13 th and had confusion as we were rebooked with another tour guide company which ended up with us missing our tour the 13th, which was the the only thing my husband really wanted to see,
We could not contact anyone at your office phone to help for either day which caused us a 3 hour trip into Rome from Cortona,

We booked a 3-hour small group tour, but was combined with other groups (some booked a 2-hour tour) so we were a total of 36 people and given a 2 1/2 hour tour. For that part I’d only give it 1 star. Our tour guide Federico was good but since we got a late start (check-in was one person for multiple tour companies) and some people struggled to manage the grounds at the Roman Forum, he rushed through some parts but overall was a good tour guide.

When it says “the same entrance that the gladiators once used . . . ” don’t think you’re getting into the underground area or accessing anything special. You’re not! You’re only getting onto the floor of the arena where everyone else gets with basic tickets. Many of us on my tour mistakenly believed from the description that the tour included access to the underground section. It does not.
There were other issues as well. It was quite disorganized at the meeting point. During the tour, the guide would keep walking and talking without telling us where he was taking us. People were stopping and trying to fight the crowd to take pictures because the guide never told us that we would be stopping around the other side of the arena for photos. Also, the weather turned very ugly about halfway in, but the tour never slowed down, even in unsafe lightening and heavy rain conditions. They had other tours scheduled so they had a schedule to keep.
Other than a little narration, you get nothing on this tour that you don’t already get by purchasing your own self-guided tickets or using the Roma Pass. Don’t waste your money!!

Took the tour with Massimo. He was knowledgeable, accommodating and fun to listen to! Our only area to perhaps fix is on the back end, in the notes for the meeting place it gives the office address while the main page says to meet in front of the Basilica. We had enough time to figure this out but others may not. Otherwise, it was fun and great getting to go directly into the colosseum without much of a line. Our tour guides back pack was stolen from him during a break and he had a great laugh about it but hope he recovers his lost items!

  16. Madeline_O

Our tour guide Marcus was incredible! He painted the most amazing picture while sharing his wealth of knowledge on Roman history. The tour was a packed 2 hours. Didn’t feel rushed at all! Highly recommend!

  17. Heidi_C

Great guide! He was experienced and knowledgeable and managed to keep our group together and engaged in a very challenging weather situation. Would highly recommend.

  18. Melissa_M

We had a great time! Our guide was very knowledgeable. She willingly corrected misperceptions, had a fabulously long view of history and archaeology and really helped us understand what we were looking at.

  19. Sarun_P

We had Francesca as our host. Her knowledge of history was inspiring, and we enjoyed her sense of humor. She walked us through Palantine Hill and gave us time to admire the view from the garden at the top. A lot of tourists were at the Colosseum but we stuck by our group and had a great tour.

  20. Kolbrn_J

I had a great time on this tour with my family. A lot to see on this tour. The Coloseum was a lot bigger then expected.
