What an amazing experience we had with our guide T.K on this tour. As it was a private tour he gave us the option of going truly off the tourist trail to hidden places where the locals eat. We did not regret our decision as we had a unique experience and sampled foods and visited places we would never have had the courage or knowledge to do on our own. We had Indian food in a back street family run restaurant, beef pendants from a market stall,tofu and pancakes from established street vendors, noodles and pork, a drink made from local fruits, so much food we didn’t need to eat for the rest of day!
It was just like having a friend show you round his favourite places. He also took care to get us a taxi back to our hotel at the end of the tour. If you want a truly authentic local experience in Kuala Lumpur we would definitely recommend this tour and if you request TK you are good hands.

This tour was much below our expectations. We did have four tastes of delicious local foods but we had put our dietary requirements which the tour guide had mentioned she wasn’t aware of till the last minute. We walked for very long distances in empty areas for long periods of time to reach other areas to taste the food. The guide was nice and friendly however the tour was certainly not worth what we paid and was of poor quality. I only say this for either the guide to uplift her tour or/ and for people to be aware of what they are getting into.

It was nice….Just go with an absolute empty stomach. Our guide was good, seemed to know a lot, which helped. I didnt like eating in the dirty underroof market though. Maybe it wont bother others. The sidewalk and stall tastings was good, no bother there.

It was the greatest experience hands down. Our guide Povan was truly exceptional. Yes, this was his job to show us around and introduce us to the Malaysian food culture but, it was done in such a way that it felt like he was your friend you were seeing here and was showing you around. It was evident that Povan loves his country and culture and it was a great introduction for us as newbies to Malaysia. A million star rating. We ❤️🇲🇾

Amazing private tour – day spent with May! She’s so passionate about all Malaysian foodies. So much I learnt about the culture and the people. Reminded me back of my Indonesian heritage. Thank you for the patience as I really slow walker here. I wish I could do more with her but the flu hit me hard maybe because the wether so humid and hot and rain as well. Overall I really liked her company. Wish her all the best for her future.

I wish I had more info to provide to him up-front so he could further customize the experience to our needs but just based on the little information we shared, he did a great job and was able to also communicate with my parents. In fact, this was a nostalgic journey for them which was very rare. He was also very patient with them as they had a rather picky o palette. He shared a lot of local dishes that I would have never thought to try if I was on my own so I came out with a lot of new favorite dishes. In fact, I either tried to go back to the same restaurant afterward or looked for similar dishes.
I would totally do this again in the future.

My wife and I had the pleasure of being guided through the KL street food scene by the guide Povan. We enjoyed it very much. As we are not the most experienced in south east Asian cuisine, we learned so much. Povan was an excellent guide taking us to some great places, as well as sharing interesting facts about the food and the culture of Malaysia. We learned a lot. The trip it self offers plenty of foods to try and have a nice pace. Also Povan will ask for our wishes during the trip to make it as best as possible for us.

Food was fabulous and her explanation of the preparation and importance of local ingredients very helpful to try to make some at home. She also showed us markets and places to come back to.
