This was such a great experience and so much fun. We had Fern who ran the class and was great. Food was really tasty and the recipe book at the end of the class was great as now we can take it home, I will definitely make these dishes at home now. Definitely recommend for anyone whether you are a great cook or complete beginner, very easy to follow. Don’t eat too soon beforehand as it’s a lot of food!

I took the morning cooking class with my adult children and it was a great experience. You are picked up in a songthaew which is basically a covered pickup truck with open windows to the outdoors so beware if you have allergies. We got to the market but we didn’t really get a tour or learn how to pick ingredients. They showed us the ingredients and then gave us 20 minutes to walk around. However, when we got to the cookery school, we got to see the organic garden and the different types of ingredients used in Thai cuisine – very educational. Each person had their own mortar & pestle, their own cooking station and tools. They had ingredients organized on plates based on what you were going to be cooking and then instructed us on what to do. Delicious food followed by learning how to make Thai iced tea and mango sticky rice. They give you a lovely little cookbook to take home that has photos of the ingredients and the recipes.

Great experience! I totally recommend! Food was delicious! Leaders of the group was hilarious! Learn how to cook Thai foods. We were given choices to what we wanted to make.

This was so fun! Our cooking instructor Nook was super funny and entertaining. Everything was explained very easy and the food came out very delicious. By cooking your own food, you can decide how spicy you want to have it. In this course you make 3 main dishes at first and then you start with dessert and a tea. All very simple, but very good!

It was a fun class, the chef explained well for all the ingredients. The school has a beautiful garden.

Love the ingredients they grow in their own garden. Very fun and the staff makes the class easy to learn to cook. They explain everything well and u end up with a 5 course meal after. The mango sticky rice with the blue flower and Thai tea are so yummy.

Amazing cooking class, fun trip to the market, organic garden with ingredients was very cool, cooking class was well organized and worth every penny. The location of the cooking class was beautiful and just outside the Old City. Hotel pickup and drop off was a great addition. Would do this again!

What a great well organized efficient cooking class. We only had 7 in our group so we had our own stations. We got to pick 3 dishes one type of curry, soup etc. their on site organic farm is amazing- their grounds are beautiful- a little eclectic collection of figurines…. Very well conducted class, food tasted great (even if I cooked it) and we loved the experience.

Terrific experience! Nook was a great guide and instructor. She picked us up in a truck (open covered type popular in Chiangmai) on time and took us to a local market first where she explained the most common ingredients. Then we went to the cooking school/farm and she showed us how the ingredients look before being harvested.
Each person got to choose which dishes they were making and there was no problem or inconvenience when everyone had different choices. They can also accommodate for vegetarian or vegan (including fish and oyster sauce substitutions). Everything tasted great and it was plenty of food (most people took small leftovers). Highly recommend!

Wow! We had the best time during this cooking class! We shopped at an authentic Thai market and prepared our own food. The choices were clear, easy to prepare and cook: and mindful of allergies. They have a large number of tables to accommodate large groups and surprisingly the venue was way bigger than expected with delightfully decorated pathways, and a large pond in the middle. A selection of beers and sodas and cooking supplies are available.

A lot more food than I have ever had in a cooking class. We started by being picked up at our hotel by a quirky modified pick-up truck and transported to a local market where we got a brief overview of some common ingredients in Thai cooking. We then had an opportunity to explore the market on our own before being driven to the farm/school. We had to wait about 10 minutes for the rest of the students to arrive, but that’s to be expected. Once everyone was assembled, we each got to pick 3 dishes we would make – one soup and two main courses. Once our selections were made, our instructor gave us a tour of ingredients in their extensive organic garden. I assume that while this was going on, basic prep of the ingredients we needed for dishes took place because when our tour concluded, they were ready for us to start chopping and prepping our selected dishes. Our instructor was masterful at managing the different dishes selected. My sister is pescatarian and another participant was a vegetarian, but the class was set up to easily handle different dietary needs and allergies. . This class is probably too basic for really experienced cooks, but if you are a novice cook and/or have limited experience with Thai cooking and want to get hands on instruction with Thai ingredients and cooking, this might be the right class for you. You also get the added benefit of getting to the eat the rewards of your labor. At times it was fast paced, but the instructor made it fun. She was excellent as was their organization. Did I mention that in addition to the 3 courses, we also made a mango sticky rice and a Thai iced tea to conclude our course. The school was also prepared for some who wanted to take their left overs with them because it really was a lot of food. We also got a cook book at the end. The only suggestion that I have is to consider selling the aprons. At the end, I felt that I could make Thai dishes because I have a better understanding of the prep and how they flow together.

The cooking school was located in a beautiful and charming garden where they grow fruits and herbs. It was a lot of fun to learn and cook Thai dishes. It was however a bit rough to ride in an open air truck on a very hot afternoon, so you may want to pack some water and cooling towels for the ride.

My husband and I booked this class at the last minute to end our trip in Chiang Mai and we are so glad we did it! They provided transportation to a local market to learn about the ingredients that we were going to cook with, showed us their organic farm, and then prepped and cooked the ingredients for 3 Thai dishes each (plus dessert!)! Delicious and fun!
