James was our driver and guide for the morning and could not have been more helpful. His insight into township life taught us much and his relationship with members of the community enabled us to visit homes and speak to locals. Something we could not have done without James. Anybody visiting Cape Town will be struck by the beauty and splendour it is imperative, however, that everyone undertakes this tour so they see the reality of life for so many South Africans.

James was a wonderful, thoughtful guide. He provided us with the historical and cultural context of the Townships, and made our visit more meaningful. I highly recommend him!

An essential Tour to take. We were welcomed into family homes and explored the Township Street by Street. Part of the Tour includes the Township Museum in Cape Town. Our Guide was superb.

If you really are wanting to get to the grass root level of the township life then this tour is a must. Our guide was a young black guy who was fantastic and didnt hold back about the whites, coloured and blacks and expectations of the blacks and where the government is lacking. From this tour I now have clear understanding of how this multicuture country operates and the journey all are on.

This was an amazing experience. I learned so much about the history and the true struggles a country has gone through during my lifetime. Our guide, Cheppa, was absolutely a delight to spend the day with and we learned so much from him and his sunny attitude. I highly recommend this experience to anybody and everybody.

We had a memorizable experience. Our guide was Chippa, who is living in the townships on his own. He took our anxiety to offend the residents of the townships by this trip directly at the beginning and told us how important they are for them.
We met different people and were able to visit there homes in the township Langa. Everyone was hospitable and made us feel very welcome.
So don’t be afraid to do this tour!
Our group were just the two of us and Chippa. Because of that the tour was a very personal and close experience.
We completely recommend this tours and more than that, see them as necessary if you visit Cape Town.

The day started off wet but our tour leader provided ponchos and made sure we were comfortable. He gave us so much information about life in the Langa Township having experienced it for himself as a young boy. He was always willing to answer our questions. The visit to District 6 Museum was again most informative and well presented. At the Langa Community Centre we met local artisans working with mosaics, pottery and recycled materials.

Great tour guide called Chippa. District 6 museum is amazing and tells the realties of apartheid everyone should know. Langa township was enlightening. Thanks to all for a very informative trip

Our tour was supposed to be a small group and ended up only us. It was very educational to see how others live. We went into several homes and a orphanage. Definitely recommend.
