We chose this tour based on the fact that it was short and covered the Great temple of Abu Simbel. Many other tours we look could not be as short and cover Abu Simbel so it fit our schedule perfectly. This tour starts in Luxor and ends in Aswan so let me clarify that if you are in Cairo or other cities you must find a way to get to Luxor either by train or plane. They help you with transportation which is a big plus. It takes the stress of the hagglers that surround you at the airport if you have something pre-arranged. Let me start by saying that our experience was excellent. Since I booked the tour, the agent Hazzan, was in contact with us every step of the way. Cairo transport from our hotel to the airport was covered by the company. Flew in from Cairo to Luxor where we were picked up and immediately given the tour to Karnack and Luxor temple. Then we went straight to the cruise. I am a regular working class guy who was looking for a nice trip in Egypt with my wife and this cruise line was by all means the best experience I have had. Impeccable, luxurious and with a very pleasant staff, clean, quiet, great buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner (every day something different!!!) with a raffle and party at the end of the tour. Staff was very pleasant specially our waiter Wallid, who went beyond the call to make sure we were comfortable. They greet you with a nice glass of mango juice after every journey in the city. Abu Simbel was amazing as well as the temple if Isis on an island. Tour guides were very nice although we suffered from some miscommunication at times but it may be just my impression ( I wanted to know the costs for each site ahead of time). The Hot Air balloon ride did not take place due to some strange cases where the weather had caused problems and Egypt decided not to have them anymore. At least that is what we were explained. The agency was strait with us and refunded that part of our tour. We started our cruise a bit tired from being in Giza a few days earlier but the cruise revitalized us and we left quite happy having chosen this agency. Drivers were very friendly and always smiled and gave us tips on what to visit and what to do. We were transported to the airport on time and left hoping to return some day. Egypt is a country with striking faces, on one end the streets which may be a bit shocking to some, a culture that engrains a strong tradition, most depend on tourism to live so you have to keep an open mind

All the elements separately (e.g. the cruise, the guides, the excursions) where fine. Just communication was poor.
+ Staff on the cruise was very friendly. Food was great.
+ The different guides I had for the different excursions where all good.
+ Balloontrip was very professional and a great and very helpful guy there. Ashraf.
+ I was lucky that a few of the visits where even private tours. The other visits in small groups.
+ Local representative in Aswan, Mina, was great. He even arranged a trainticket for me, saving me a lot of time.
    – Communication was poor, I felt a bit lost.
    – No guide in Abu Simbel (don’t know why not, since we had a guide at all the other tempels)

the facility, food, staffs, everything was nice. The tour guide was excellent, he knows so well about any questions about Egypt, and so caring. The tour itself was so smooth and no stress.

There are not enough words of how amazing this package was. Ahmed Elsayed was beyond outstanding. He went far and beyond to make our trip a memorable one. He truly deserves 10+ stars. I highly recommend this tour and definitely would recommend using him.

Ha sido una experiencia maravillosa. La narrativa de las personas que cuentan la historia de Egipto es un tesoro nacional. Mohamed. Albasha. Si que sabe hacer bien su trabajo. Es muy claro y tiene toda la paciencia del mundo.

Excellent trip! We so enjoyed our Nile cruise – wonderful staff on the Opera, and the most incredible Egyptologist Mohamed Albasha. Mohamed curated our tours and brought the beauty and history of Egypt to life in the most incredible way! Thank you Mohammed! Thank you Opera staff!

First thing I would suggest when booking this tour is to check with the tour company to get the name of the boat. The pictures on this tour were not the boat I was on. I was put on probably the worst possible boat, Royal Adventure. I had written to HereEqypt to get the boat name but never did get a response. When I set up the tour, I requested pickup from Luxor airport. The day before I left for Egypt, I had not heard from them so sent a message to advise my flight number and how I will locate my pickup. They did respond back immediately advising they will be waiting for me just outside the exit with a sign with my name. I was still concerned, but they were there waiting for me. I had the most amazing tour guide, Ahmed, he knew everything. My first 2 days were private which was a nice surprise. It was amazing.
When I checked in on the boat it was a little outdated, but probably what you should expect from Egypt. I loved that my room had a picture window that opened up. That was the best part of the cruise because we spent most of our time there watching the scenery. I noticed the room next to me did not have the balcony, so I must have gotten lucky.
This boat was late for everything, for our sunrise hot air balloon we arrived very late and sun was already up, it was a major disappointment since this was what I had been looking forward to most.
We also arrived over 2 hours late Edfu temple, imagine 5-10 boats all arriving at the same time (we were last) it was a mad house and impossible to get into the temple (see pic). The only time being late was welcomed was at Kom Ombo temple. We got there at sunset as all the other cruise ships were leaving and we had it to ourselves. It would have been enjoyable if the staff was not yelling at us to hurry every time we turned around.
The staff also yelled at us for almost everything. Dinner we were required to sit in the same spot every night, we did as we were told but others did not and boy were they yelled at. For meals the buffet line was usually 15 minutes, but we would wait patiently while several others would just come and walk right up in front of everyone. We almost got into several fight in regard to this. One of the chefs were awesome and when he saw that happen would make them go to the end
The pool, not the one shown in the pics of this tour, I have attached the one for my ship, was very small. And with temps at 107-112 you can imagine the whole boat trying to get into that small pool and 50% of them smoking. We were not able to enjoy the pool, because the air quality was so bad and then all the smoke as well in that small area there was no way we could breath.
Abu Simbel was also a disappointment, the desert road opens 5an to 5pm, so imagine every tour and cruise waiting for that to happen and then all arriving at the same time. It was crazy. Fortunately, our awesome tour guide Ahmed got us there before the line became unbearable, but it was still crazy. Not sure it was worth 6 hours of driving, there and back. for 1 hour. I think next time I might stay there overnight to avoid the crowds. The dam I would skip, wasn’t impressed, but I did enjoy Philae temple. So I would definitely NOT recommend this cruise. I actually would suggest seeing the sights on your own so you miss the cruise traffic.

I just loved the tour. Traveling by myself being on a private tour was perfect. We were a total of 5 persons and had lots of fun! Our guide HAMDY (yes write this name down and ask for him) was wonderful, friendly & kind, knowledgeable and taking care of us so well! We just loved him! The boat was clean, great food, personal super friendly and professional! Excursions were even better than expected. Don’t miss the ballon tour. It is definitely worthwhile to get up this early!! Yes, just buy this trip! Egyptian history is awesome!
