Excellent tour, lasted about 75 minutes.
Must be good at walking up and down steps, as the SOH is full of them, with only 1 lift currently being built for handicap use.

Very interesting! Seeing all the venues except Performance Hall which was under renovation was so fascinating. The attention to detail with both the structure design and interior design is mind blowing! Our guide, Jessie, was charming and so informative. The history about the architect Otzen and the political turmoil that short changed him was heartbreaking. This is a must do I’m Sydney. Just taking pics of the exterior is just not enough.

The tour is great and our tour guide was amazing. I just wish the tour would have explained that the opera house was under renovation and you could not see it. I still would have booked it but it is not a tour of the main opera house until it is done in July. You do get some of it but not the main house. Super informational and I learned a lot!

we dont understand why Nicholas (tour guide ) keep on telling us that he needs to ask permission to enter this theater and the other small theaters .. we paid for this tour and people working there should expect us tourists walking around looking ..
we did not see the MAIN THEATER ..
so disappointed .. most of the things that he showed us inside … we can see that from the outside of the opera house .. unbelievable …
we bought tour and dine at the opera kitchen
food was horrible ..
chicken burger for my husband
(he said kfc is better )
ragu pasta for me (seems like its a left over from last night and just reheated in the microwave )

This tour was OK, but not worth the time or money. My guide was knowledgable enough and started the tour timely, but we saw very little of the inside of the opera house. The main hall had a rehearsal going on so it was out of bounds. We visited the second largest hall, then the smallest one used for children’s theater. All in all, this tour didn’t give me much of a feel for the opera hall facilities. I was quite disappointed.
