The floating villages were great in the evening light. After Bangkok good to see rice fields. The sunrise at Angkor Wat was spectacular. The whole trip was well organised and the guide helpful and knowledgeable. Was a good taster of Cambodia. Worth the long drives.

    Interesting, but poorly organized trip.
on each step of the trip you are handled by different people and you don’t have one person to ask all questions. No one knows your timetable for tomorrow.
We were picked up by a simple taxi, who didn’t know where we were going, at what time we would arrive. When we reached the border he asked us to pay 2000 bahts for the trip. Fortunately we knew the phone of guy who was to meet us at the border.
And he dealt with payment .I thought it was our guide for the hole trip, but no, we passed the border and the guy left us to the new driver who also didn’t know the timings🤣 and like that on each step… so you cannot relax, you should always stay organized.
The hotel (Tara Angkor Hotel) is perfect. Tasty breakfast, spa, pool.
And the Angkor Wat itself is a must see. Just amazing. Worth 5 hours of travelling

I sort of expected the driver from Bangkok to speak English. Crossing the Cambodian border on foot was certainly a unique experience, but not worth the silent drive with multiple drivers to getting from Bangkok to Siem Reap. Things felt disorganized and disorienting until I reached Siem Reap. When I got there, Sava, my guide, was fantastic, and of course the tour itself was great. But next time I would just fly to Siem Reap.
On that note, the travel company also helped me a ton in finding a flight out of Siem Reap. They were very responsive and proactive in accommodating my needs.

This was our first trip to Cambodia and Siem Reap to visit both the floating villages and Angkor Wat and we really enjoyed the people and the experience and our guide Mr Thy was great and very knowledgeable about the history of the temples as well as general Cambodian culture. Would recommend this trip to anyone who would like to experience some really very ancient history of the country and wish we had allowed for more time to stay.

Great private tour experience with an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide – very understanding and patient with our needs. We’ve got the wonderful itinerary and discovered how lovely Cambodia is. Highly recommendable private tour. Thank you so much.

I took the 2 days 1 night Angkor Wat tour. All the organization, transportation and visa procedures were very organized throughout the trip. The hotel was clean, nice and good. Especially our guide Sava was caring and kind. Angkor Wat gave satisfactory information about its history, architectural structure and wall paintings. Special thanks to Sava. Viator offers a good tour service.

Angkor Wat is absolutely amazing. Built over hundreds of years and home to both Hindu and Buddhist devotees, the history is fascinating. Blessed with a gorgeous day in January, the weather couldn’t have been better. Our Cambodian guide had the perfect balance of providing information and allowing us to absorb on our own.

We had been advised that we should fly to see the Angkor Wat area From Bangkok, So glad we took this tour and drove instead ..In actual fact with airport wait times etc…no much longer and you see the countryside. The border check/visa very well organized and quick. The hotel was amazing and far better than anticipated. Our tour guide, I can not say enough good things about, Vithyea was very knowledgeable, kind ,and accommodating. This experience was totally awesome.

The guide Soth Sothy was a very kind and good tour guide. We had much fun on this temple trip! 5 stars for Mr. T

Excellent itinerary to be done by anyone in Bangkok, with good logistics and allows you to visit one of the most enchanting temples by land, Angkor Wat, which we had the opportunity to visit along with the magical sunrise, those with pink skies. The itinerary is completed with the boat trip the day before and with the temples of the smiling Buddhas and the iconic temple used in the filming of Tomb Rider 1. All the places were even more special thanks to the excellent explanations of our guide, Mr. Khemara, who demonstrated an eye for detail, great patience with the children and the ability to take excellent and unusual photographs. I also highlight the concern of the tour company to guarantee the best logistics and all the necessary support in the land crossing between the countries, both on the way out and on the way back. This support makes all the difference and gives us credibility and confidence, which gives us a much greater sense of security and comfort. Excellent tour.

Had an amazing experience with Cambodia side of the trip starting from meeting the Agent till drop off. I give 5 star. Guide Mr Chayy knowledgable very helpful .
Cambodia Side Driver Mr Paen very responsible safe driver.
Thailand Side going to Border was ok as I was with two other tourist.
Once we were drop off all at mercy of one lady few agents .. Review will be No star. Coming Back I was alone crossed border than waited -4PM someone will come . Very scary feeling then driver who got me to Bangkok was rash didn’t wear seat belt, was drinking something then dropped me off .. I had to walk back to my hotel..
I conveyed my feeling to Tour Operator . They need to improve on Thailand Side..
Very scary. If solo like me better to fly and meet team in Siem Rep.
Alone in Van with driver I got is defiantly not recommended.
Coming back usually evening so when you alone is super scary.
    Please fix Thailand side ..

We had a fabulous tour. Visiting the floating village, and getting a glimpse into the life on the river. We loved stopping at the floating restaurant and trying snake.
Angkor Wat was so beautiful and very well preserved. It was an amazing glimpse into the history of the Cambodian culture and history.
Lunch was excellent, and we enjoyed eating traditional Cambodian meals and having a rest before the trip home.
Mr. T answered all our questions about life in Cambodia and did a great job of keeping us informed about the history of what we saw.
The timing was all very fluid, and we were never left waiting.

The tour was well organised, the hotel in Siem Reap was stunning and my guide Sava was knowledgeable, funny and accommodating. I absolutely loved my stay in Cambodia.

This was a wonderful trip from Bangkok and I would highly recommend. They handle getting the Visa to Cambodia and ensure that you get through the passport check and customs. Once In Cambodia we met our driver, Rath, who brought us to Siem Reap. The hotel was very nice and comfortable. The first night, we met our guide, Sothy aka Mr. T. He was very knowledgeable and brought us to the floating village, told what the best places in Siem Reap where to go out at night, and ensured the visits to all the temples were seamless. It was HOT, wear sneakers because it is a decent amount of walking, bring sunblock, and make sure you have your shoulders covered. Rath and Mr. T were amazing and I cannot say enough good things about this trip.

We were picked up by a driver from the tour company from our hotel in Bangkok, (Chatrium Hotel River side) at 6:30 AM .
we arrived at the border of Cambodia at 9:30 AM .  Visa arrangements for the border crossing were completed in 30 mininute.
Our tour representative at Cambodia was waiting for us at the border, and as soon as we crossed the bober, we were picked up to Angkor Wat at Siem City. it was two and half hours drive to our hotel at Angkor wat.
The hotel that we stayed in is called Tara Angkor
The hotel is very comfortable, and the front desk staff were very supportive and welcoming us with open hands to ensure that we are comfortable.
Our pivate tour guide Mr. Young Serakyuth picked us up at 4:00 PM, and we traveled by boat to visit the floating village of Tonle SAP Lake ( one of the largest lakes in Asia).
the next day, we explore some of Cambodia most celebrated temples ruins including ICON ANGKOR WAT.
the hotel rooms were very clean . we enjoy breakfast served in the morning before returning to Bangkok.  We arrival at our hotel at Bangkok around 8:30 PM

It has taken me 5 months to write this because technically, the tour was as advertised. I was picked up at my hotel, I stayed in a nice hotel in Cambodia and saw Siem Reap, Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm and experienced a little night life in between. My guide while I was in Siem Reap was knowledgeable and spoke fluent english. He was professional and attentive during my time with him and I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with him and learning from his first hand experience about the culture and history, as well as recommendations on dishes to try and where to go at night. He even hooked me up with a tuk-tuk driver who took me around at night and I did not need to worry about getting ripped off.
That all being said, I am giving 2 stars because the trip to Cambodia from Thailand was terrifying. I am a female and I was traveling solo, however, I met a couple traveling together who booked the same tour and they were as confused and scared as I was during the process.
I was picked up at my hotel by a person who spoke ZERO english, and she did not have anything written prepared, so I was unable to communicate to understand where we were going, how long it would take, if she would be with me for the entire duration, if and when we could stop, or literally any information whatsoever, as I was not provided an itinerary or plan of any kind from the organizer. So… it was a shock to me when she dropped me off at the Cambodia border. I didn’t know why I was being dropped off, how long I would be there, who I was meeting, why I was dropped off, or even if I was in any danger. No one there at the border spoke any english so they couldn’t answer my questions, either. This is the point at which I realized that I may have put myself in danger. I was TERRIFIED because I had NO IDEA what was going on and there was no one to ask and I had no phone signal because it was not a facility like an airport or bus station that sold SIM cards. It was a tourist company (I think?) with an outside bench under an awning. I don’t know how long I sat there wondering if was being kidnapped. I want to say it was over an hour. Finally a guy walked up and told me to go with him. Again, I had no idea who he was or where he was taking me… but he’s the first english speaker I had encoutered all day so I asked him as many questions as I could think of, but he did not volunteer enough information to make me comfortable with how my day was going. He informed me that he would be walking me over the border and helping me with customs. I handed a complete stranger my passport because at this point, I was in too deep to turn back. I said a little prayer and got my passport back and for the first time all day, I felt secure that I was not, in fact, being trafficked.
The border guy took me to a bus station, and I was picked up by another person who didn’t speak any english driving a super dirty SUV. The SUV guy drove me from that bus station at the border all the way to Siem Reap. At this point in the trip, I had given up trying to figure out how many more people I’d be passed off to, much less gaining any understanding of an itinerary or game plan of any kind. I just kinda tried to relax because I put myself in this horribly scary situation and now I have to deal with the consequences.
When we finally got to the hotel in Siem Reap, I was shocked at how beautiful it was after the day I had and the cars I had ridden in. It was absolutely gorgeous inside and had a beautiful pool area and lounge area attached. Everyone spoke english but they didn’t know anything about what was in store for me, they were not told anything. I was relieved I actually had a reservation.
After all that, my tour guide met me and answered all my questions and was very communicative and apologetic for how my transportation was handled. He was great and the rest of the trip was wonderful and I felt safe.

Great, great experience. The six hour drive from Bangkok to Siem Reap was brutal though. Our guide in Cambodia, Serakyuth, was very knowledgeable, and patient. Highly recommend. A must do!

  18. dajzoe

Highly recommended. Our tour guide Mr Sothy (Mr T) has deep knowledge of the area and explained clearly. The driver from the border to Siam Reap, Mr Chai, is very considerate and drives smoothly.

Definitely would recommend, the whole experience was memorable! Booking was easy and straightforward. Our driver picked us up at our hotel in central Bangkok early, starting the only downside to the experience, the drive to Siam Reap (it’s 6 hours). We paid for the VIP border crossing, where an agent from the travel company filled out our paperwork for us, and it went fast and smooth.
The hotel in Siam Reap was nice. We settled down for a few hours and then headed out to Tonle Sap lake to see a floating village and experience a different style of life, then back to the city to explore and eat! We strolled through the restaurant district but settled for a stall along the river (2 sodas, 2 full plates, $4!!!)
We opted for the sunrise tour at Angkor Wat and were not disappointed! It was magical to watch the sunrise over the temple. A special thank you to Vithyea, our guide, for being so knowledgeable. He explained the history of Cambodia and the temple complex and answered all of our questions. Thank you! We strolled through Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple, Angkor Thom, and a few others. It was hot, but our driver had water to offer between each of the temples.
